Kari Schmidt, LPC, NCC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Michigan and a Nationally Board-Certified Counselor (NCC). She earned her master’s degree from Central Michigan University in 2013.
She completed Level 1 Internal Family Systems (IFS) training in November 2019 and continues to engage in ongoing consultation and peer review. She has pursued advanced IFS focused learning, including a somatic IFS retreat in Indonesia and specialized training in working with neurodivergent clients. She is scheduled to complete Level 2 training in spring 2026.
She is also an intermediate-level Somatic Experiencing (SE) student, having completed her first year of training in February 2026 through Somatic Experiencing International (SEI).
She completed a 40-hour, face-to-face, Somatic and Attachment-Focused (S.A.F.E.) EMDR basic training in February 2018. She is a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider (CMHIMP) and a Binge Eating and Chronic Dieting Professional (CBECDP).
