Kari Schmidt, LPC, NCC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Michigan and a Nationally Board-Certified Counselor (NCC). She earned her master’s degree from Central Michigan University in 2013.
She completed an 80-hour Level 1 Internal Family Systems (IFS) training in November 2019 and continues to participate in ongoing consultation and peer review. She has also pursued advanced IFS focused learning, including an IFS Somatic retreat in Indonesia and specialized training in applying IFS with neurodivergent clients.
She recently completed the first year of Somatic Experiencing (SE) in February 2026 and will start intermediate year the in spring.
She completed a 40-hour, face-to-face, Somatic and Attachment-Focused (S.A.F.E.) EMDR basic training in February 2018. She is a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider (CMHIMP) and a Binge Eating and Chronic Dieting Professional (CBECDP).
