Kari Schmidt, LPC, NCC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Michigan and a Nationally Board-Certified Counselor (NCC). She earned her master’s degree from Central Michigan University in 2013.
She completed Level 1 Internal Family Systems (IFS) training in 2019 and Level 2 in 2026. She participates in ongoing consultation and peer review. She has pursued advanced IFS focused learning, including a somatic IFS retreat in Indonesia and specialized training in working with neurodivergent clients.
She is also an intermediate level (2nd year) Somatic Experiencing (SE) student through Somatic Experiencing International (SEI).
She completed a 40-hour, face-to-face, Somatic and Attachment-Focused (S.A.F.E.) EMDR basic training in February 2018. She is a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider (CMHIMP) and a Binge Eating and Chronic Dieting Professional (CBECDP).
